The Arizona Biltmore, A Waldorf Astoria Resort in Phoenix, Arizona has notified us that due to an unforeseen delay in their guestroom renovations, our upcoming November 10-13, 2022 Current Topics in Anesthesia meeting AND guest room block is being relocated to the nearby Mountain Shadows Resort.
If you have a room reserved through NWAS/NWWT for the Arizona Biltmore, A Waldorf Astoria Resort:
1. Your credit card was not yet charged for the 1 night + tax deposit by the Arizona Biltmore and your reservation will be cancelled automatically.
2. Your room reservation will automatically be re-booked at Mountain Shadows Resort and your credit card will be charged for 1 night + tax deposit in the coming days by the hotel.
3. As a courtesy for the inconvenience, the Arizona Biltmore, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, will be paying room and tax for the night of October 9, 2022 ONLY, for all guests that reserved their room via NWAS/NWWT only.
4. You will receive an updated hotel confirmation letter via email from NWAS/NWWT in the coming days.
5. Mountain Shadows Resort has honored our group room rates and discounted resort fee that we had with the Arizona Biltmore, as follows:
Signature Run of House 1 King Bed
Single/Double Occupancy: $349 per room, per night
Signature Run of House 2 Queen Beds
Single/Double Occupancy: $349 per room, per night
Triple Occupancy: $369 per room, per night
Quad Occupancy: $389 per room, per night
Hotel guest room rates are per night and subject to the prevailing city/state taxes and assessment charges at the time of check-in; currently this tax rate is 13.17% and reduced* $14 + tax per room, per night Resort and Amenities fee.
*Resort and Amenities Fee is reduced to $14 plus tax, per room, per night for those who booked their room through NWAS/NWWT only (otherwise, it's approximately $37 + tax, per room per night). Resort and Amenities Fee includes: High-speed wireless internet (15 MB) in guest rooms & event space, bellmen & daily housekeeping gratuities, overnight valet parking (with bottled water in/out), complimentary fitness classes (based on availability), complimentary Ping demo clubs when playing Hotel’s course, 24-hour use of Citizens Club Fitness Center, daily turndown service with bottled water, daily in-room coffee and tea service and newspaper (upon request), complimentary vintage postcards with postage, practice putting green access. Resort Service Fee inclusions subject to change without notice.
CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations of room accepted without penalty until 7 days prior to arrival. Cancellations received inside of 7 days prior to arrival will forfeit 1 night's stay plus tax and mandatory fees (if applicable). If you check out prior to your confirmed checkout date, the Hotel will impose an early checkout fee of 1 night's stay plus tax. Guests wishing to avoid an early checkout fee should advise the Hotel at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay. If you are a complete no-show, you will be charged a penalty up to your entire reserved stay. Please review your reservation for accuracy. Travel insurance is highly recommended.
If you made accommodation arrangements directly with the Arizona Biltmore, and you wish to move to Mountain Shadows Resort, please contact Arizona Biltmore directly at (602) 955-6600.
If you made other accommodation arrangements on your own, and you you wish to move to Mountain Shadows Resort, you will need to handle your cancellation directly. Please contact info@nwas.com for room availability at Mountain Shadows Resort.

If you'd prefer to transfer to another one of our meetings at this time, you may do so via our website. When registering, select "paying by check" and indicate in the comment field that you would like to transfer your November 2022 Phoenix tuition payment to your new registration.
