Four Seasons Resort Nevis

Four Seasons Resort Nevis is located on the western side of the Caribbean island of Nevis, off the coast of Nevis offers 36 square miles of tranquil and untouched Caribbean, with no large cruise-ship ports, no traffic lights, no fast-food restaurants, no building taller than a coconut tree and a rich history that can be seen throughout the island.

The secluded Four Seasons Resort Nevis is just minutes from the cultural hub of downtown Charlestown, adventures on both land and sea, as well as steps from local hot spots and historic sugar-mill ruins. Offering a three mile pristine stretch of Pinney’s Beach, guests can enjoy swimming in the crystal clear blue water or just relaxing at one of three full size pools at the property. Seven restaurants and bars provide guests with endless dining options and the perfect location to enjoy a stunning Nevis sunset with a rum punch in hand. The Spa at Four Seasons Nevis is the center of tranquility with an expansive Spa Garden.

The Resort features a Championship Golf Course designed by Robert Trent Jones II and was rated by Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Poll - Top Golf Resort in the Caribbean. The tennis facility offers multiple astro-turf, clay and hard surface courts, including a lit stadium court for exhibition games or night play. The Kids For All Seasons program will entertain children ages 3 to 9 years old, featuring supervised activities that range from learning about local animals to books, games, painting and scavenger hunts while you enjoy a little well-earned time for yourself.

Spacious run of house guest rooms range from 490-569 square feet and offer a fresh take on timeless Caribbean living, with private patios or balconies. Other guest room amenities include a full marble bathroom, safe, hair dryer, iron/board, luxurious bathrobes and slippers, newspaper with breakfast, bottled water at turndown, twice-daily housekeeping service and more.

Please note: The Four Seasons Resort Nevis requires a boat ride or flight to be reached from the island of St. Kitts. For those that reserve a room at The Four Seasons Resort Nevis, the resort will contact guests directly in the weeks prior to their arrival to ask for flight information. Transportation costs are not included in the guest room rates.

FROM ROBERT L. BRADSHAW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (SKB) ON ST KITTS: Arriving in St Kitts, a Four Seasons team member will greet your party at the luggage-claim area. From there, you’ll be introduced to a red-cap representative to assist with collecting your luggage. Once outside, you’ll be offered a chilled bottle of water as your bags are being checked off and tagged. When your party is ready, you will be taken on a breathtaking, 15-minute, scenic, countryside ride to Christophe Harbour. Upon arrival, enjoy a complimentary rum punch, fruit juice and other beverages before boarding Four Seasons guest speedboats to the Resort. You’ll arrive at the Resort’s on-property pier, where a staff member will greet you and escort you to your room or villa, where your luggage will also be delivered. Approximate cost: Round Trip $170 per Adult, $85 per child. Prices subject to change without notice.

FROM VANCE W. AMORY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ON NEVIS (NEV): When arriving into Nevis airport, you will be greeted by a Four Seasons representative who will help to expedite your arrival process and assist with your luggage. You and your party will be placed into a waiting taxi along with your luggage. After a short, seven-minute transfer, you’ll arrive at the Resort and be escorted to your room. Round-Trip Taxi Transfer Fee $75, per room.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This course is designed for physicians, certified registered nurse anesthetists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and other medical care providers who must maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of the anesthesia specialty or are impacted by it.

PROGRAM PURPOSE

The practitioner of anesthesiology must possess the scientific background for clinical practice; maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of not only the specialty, but also of all additional related disciplines which may impact it; maintain an up-to-the-minute armamentarium of knowledge and skills for the selection and use of complex equipment, pharmacological agents, and procedures necessary for the provision of quality patient care; manage self and colleagues to function toward common goals in the clinical setting, the clinical and educational institutions, and the community in which the practice resides; serve as an expert in matters involving health care delivery; serve as an informed manager of clinical and educational services provided, including the acquisition and distribution of resources necessary in meeting professional goals; and provide assistance with and support of other service providers, departments, institutions, and organizations dependent upon the professional expertise of the practitioner. Presentations are designed to facilitate the healthcare provider in reviewing, updating, and/or expanding knowledge and abilities in one or more of these areas vital to the practicing professional.

OBJECTIVES

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

Apply the pertinent physical and behavioral sciences - to include but not be limited to advanced anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, chemistry, physics, psychology, and social sciences - as they impact and are affected by the planning, delivery, and monitoring of anesthesia and related services inherent in the anesthesia professions.

Explain the selection, dosing considerations with methods of administration, safe use, and contraindications and precautions of presented pharmacological agents through the understanding of their physico-chemical properties, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, updated uses, and more recently developed additional, related, and similar drugs.

Outline comprehensive management plans for the group of patients discussed, whether related in age, physical status, cultural background, invasive procedure, anesthetic or analgesic requirements, clinical setting, adverse reactions, and/or goals of care.

Apply the principles of safety and asepsis in the performance of anesthetic procedures and administrations, equipment use, and other applications encountered during the provision of anesthesia and analgesia whether in the surgical unit, the labor and delivery suite, the pain management clinic, or other more remote location of anesthetizing services.

Incorporate the appropriate recommendations and/or requirements of pertinent external organizations, institutions, and professional groups - recognized as serving as the authority for and/or holding the responsibility to compile and approve such tenets - in the provision of anesthesia and related services, whether medical, legal, philosophical, ethical, or health care management standards.

Apply the new techniques in the clinical setting of the participant.

COURSE CANCELLATION BY PROVIDER

We reserve the right to cancel a course for any reason. In such case, a minimum of days notice will be given to those registered and 100% of tuition paid will be refunded. NWAS/NWS and NWWT will not be responsible for any non-refundable airfare, hotel, or other liabilities you may incur. We highly recommend purchase of travel insurance. Travel at your own risk.

COURSE CANCELLATION FEE

$100 October 6, 2022 to November 5, 2022. No refund after November 5, 2022; however, 50% of tuition paid may be applied toward tuition for another NWS/NWAS program within the next 12 months. Cancellation must be made in writing. No tuition credit or refund will be issued for attendees that are no-shows for the program.
