The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP) accepts AMA PRA Category I Credit™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME. The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) also accepts continuing medical education (CME) approved for CME hours sponsored by organizations, agencies, or educational institutions accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

NWAS/NWS activities are planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the A. Webb Roberts Center for Continuing Medical Education of Baylor  Scott & White Health and Northwest Anesthesia Seminars. The A. Webb Roberts Center for Continuing Medical Education of Baylor  Scott & White Health is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Note that the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP) is a separate entity from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). The AANCP certifies nurse practitioners and CEs are required for recertification. The AANP is a membership organization offering benefits for members and does not require CE for membership.
