As the Founder and CEO of Executive Cortex Consulting, Dr. Alexandru Visan is dedicated to the development and implementation of progressive healthcare solutions for modern medical practices, based on hybrid healthcare and business administration analysis.

His major areas of interest are strategic business development, application of six sigma techniques to improve revenue cycle management and provision of innovative professional development programs suited for modern healthcare delivery.

Dr. Visan believes in highly customized, creative and efficient strategic plans for his business clients that wish to radically improve their practice delivery models and revenues. He is known to be a promoter of sustainable long-term business solutions, which demand continuous quality improvement programs and training providers to become adapted to a dynamic healthcare economics environment, as well as delivering high quality medical care.

He currently serves as a Board Member for the South Florida Healthcare Executive Forum (SFHEF), a chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). In addition to Dr. Visan being an active business consultant in the South Florida community, he has maintained his academic appointment as Voluntary Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at University of Miami, School of Medicine and continues to practice anesthesiology.

During his previous tenure as Medical Director of the Regional Anesthesia Division at University of Alabama at Birmingham, Dr. Visan was actively involved in developing a well-organized regional anesthesiology and acute pain management program, as well as improving operating room workflows and clinical enterprise efficiency. Dr. Visan has served as Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology on the faculty of University of Alabama at Birmingham and University of Miami. He earned his Executive MBA, with a specialization in Health Sector Management and Policy at the University Of Miami Business School, as well as his Six Sigma certification. He completed his residency and a fellowship in regional anesthesiology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. His medical degree was completed in Europe, while serving as the President and Co-Founder of a private company, with focus on commercial and industrial real estate analysis, as well as business and project development.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This course is designed for physicians of any specialty, certified registered nurse anesthetists, advanced practice registered nurses, physician assistants, registered nurses, students, and other current or future healthcare providers who require knowledge of legal and financial factors that impact current healthcare.

PROGRAM PURPOSE

Providers practicing in the current complex healthcare environment should be empowered to understand and manage all the domains around the care-coordination continuum, such as clinical, financial, and social factors. A thorough understanding of all these aspects affecting patient care and outcomes will allow practitioners to be better equipped to face and successfully solve the numerous challenges related to providing high quality care.

The main purpose of this educational program is to familiarize healthcare practitioners with the essential legal and financial drivers that impact current healthcare. In addition, this knowledge will complement a provider's clinical experience with strategic and marketing skills that are highly desirable in a healthcare system where patient engagement and patient experience are included in the value-based payment system for the services rendered.

Factors beyond our control sometimes necessitate changes in the schedule and faculty. If time permits, we will inform all registrants of any changes prior to the program. Changes on site due to local conditions will be announced in class.

COURSE CANCELLATION BY PROVIDER

We reserve the right to cancel a course for any reason. In such case, a minimum of 30 days notice will be given to those registered and 100% of tuition paid will be refunded. NWAS and NWWT will not be responsible for any non-refundable airfare, hotel, or other liabilities you may incur. We highly recommend purchase of travel insurance. Travel at your own risk.

COURSE CANCELLATION FEE

$100 60-30 days prior to course. No refund inside 30 days; however, 50% of tuition paid may be applied toward tuition for another NWAS program within the next 12 months. Cancellation must be made in writing.

FAP (Frequent Attendee Points)

FAP lets you accumulate points based on dollars spent with NWAS including net hotel and tuition booked through NWAS (but not air).
